Your Application
When you apply to JR Care — whether online or by phone — a member of our recruitment team reviews your application personally. We're not looking for a perfect CV. We're looking for the right values, the right motivation, and the right commitment. If we think you could be a great fit, we'll be in touch quickly to tell you more about the role and answer any initial questions you have.
Your Interview
If your application is successful, you'll be invited to an interview — typically in person at our office in Newtongrange, Dalkeith, or at a location convenient to you. The interview is a genuine two-way conversation. We'll ask about your values, your experience, and your approach to care — and we actively encourage you to ask us everything you want to know about what working for JR Care is really like.
Is JR Care Right for You?
We want you to feel completely confident in your decision to join us. After your interview, we'll give you time and information to reflect on whether JR Care is the right fit for your career, your values, and your lifestyle. This might include follow-up conversations, informal Q&As, or a chance to speak with existing team members about their experience.
Meet the Team
Before you begin, you'll have the opportunity to visit one of our offices and meet members of the JR Care team. This gives you a feel for our culture, a chance to ask questions in a relaxed setting, and — importantly — the opportunity for us to make sure we've matched you to the right clients and the right area for you to work in.
Your References
We'll contact your provided references and carry out all necessary background checks as part of our pre-employment process. This is a standard, straightforward step — we'll let you know exactly what we need and keep you updated throughout
